“Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” Isaiah 60:1 NIV

“Do not gloat over my, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” Micah 7:8 NIV

“And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” Acts 9:6 KJV

Introduction

If the Lord is your light and salvation as stated in Psalms 27:1, then arise and shine.

You may be experiencing fear of someone or something, Do not let fear keep you down. Arise and Shine!

We have all made some mistakes and as a result some of us fell, but do not let the mistakes you made, keep you down. Arise and Shine!

You may be going through a separation or a divorce from your spouse and perhaps you were dependent on your spouse for financial support and so you do not know what your next move will be. The Lord is your light so arise and shine. There is something that you can do. Follow the light of God.

You may be facing so many other battles in your life and these battles may be overbearing and overwhelming for you. Remember the battle is not yours so arise and shine.

You may be experiencing attacks, physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually. No matter how many attacks you encountered, stay focused, arise and shine for the light has come.

The Light has come

Some of us are perhaps walking on a dark path. Because the road is so dark, you vision may be blurry.  However, over 2,000 years ago, God sent his only son into the World and Jesus Christ became our light. No matter how dark things may appear, the glory of the Lord rises upon you therefore arise and shine.

In John 8:12, Jesus stated “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Therefore in order to rise and shine, follow the Real light of the world. Too many of us are following the wrong lights, the light of greed and the light of fame.

The light of God will provide you with faith and confidence so that you can arise and shine.

With this light, your days of sorrow will end (Isaiah 60:20).

Unlike other lights that go out, the light of God will be an everlasting light (Isaiah 60:19)

How to arise and Shine?

  • Commit to the Lord.
  • Serve the Lord only.
  • Believe in the Light of Jesus Christ.
  • Have faith that you can arise and shine.
  • Study the word.

Conclusion

Your enemy may be rejoicing over your fall now, but you will arise and shine soon.  They may try to stop your plans or promotion, but you will arise and shine soon. They may try to cause confusion and mischief but you will arise and shine despite the confusion.

You can arise and shine out of any situation because the Light you are following is powerful than any other light.

I conclude with Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
