Do Not Put Your Confidence in Man. Put Your Trust in God.

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.” Psalms 146: 3-5 (KJV)

Introduction

Perhaps many of you feel betrayed or hurt because the person you trusted violated you.  Too many times we put all of our confidence in individuals particularly those in positions of authority such as Politicians, Pastors, Employers and Celebrities. Some of these individuals believe they will not get caught because people will not believe the victims.  One inappropriate act alone can have a devastating impact on an individual’s life.  All of us have weaknesses and therefore it is important that we cover everyone in prayer. We cannot and should not take anyone for granted. The minds of individuals are becoming so dark. People need help and deliverance.

Trust in God

Perhaps some of you feel the only way you can get a promotion or position if you put your trust in your bosses. Perhaps some of you put your trust in politicians because you believe they will help you get what you need. Perhaps some of you are worshipping your pastors rather than God. Perhaps some of you are so caught up in celebrities and the way the media has portrayed them as some form of superhuman beings, you are disappointed when they fail you.  Man will no doubt fail you from time to time. Do not become dependent on Man.

Therefore put your trust in God. God will not fail you, he will not leave you nor will he forsake you. God does not change. His words remain the same forever.

No one is perfect

The truth of the matter is that we all were born in sin. Some of us got delivered while others did not. Even persons that were delivered from sins, the enemy will find a way to remind you of your past to a point that you think you have not being delivered.

Individuals that did not get delivered, are using their positions of authority and status to cover up and carry out the assignments that the enemy has given them to do.

Because we are not perfect, some of us will fall and make mistakes. When we fall, hearts are broken and lives are destroyed. I believe when people commit acts and abuse their authority, they should step aside for a period of counselling or until they have been delivered and recommitted to the Lord. However some people just want to hold onto titles and continue with their assignments as if something never happened.

Conclusion

I know many people are afraid to expose the violations that they encounter in their lives from individuals especially people in authoritative positions. However, if individuals do not get help, they will continue to prey on others and soon it becomes a part of their everyday life. Therefore report your situation. I don’t know why people behave in certain ways but I do know the flesh is weak.

I know at some point in our lives, we have to trust someone but be cautious. Be wise, protect your children and don’t let them out of your sight. Protect yourselves by not going places alone and dress appropriately.  Don’t try to take short cuts to get what you want, you may just end up taking a short-cut in your life. Be patient, wait and trust in the Lord.
