Introduction

I believe all of us have at least one thing we would like to achieve but we keep procrastinating because we are waiting on the “perfect time.” The truth is if you are waiting on the perfect condition, you will be waiting for a very long time because there is no perfect time except of course, God’s time.

We are very fearful and make a lot excuses as to why we have not started that project. Rise up now and start working on that plan.

I know the word of Lord says in Isaiah 40:31 says that “But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” 

However, this article is not to contradict the word of Lord for I believe the Lord has spoken too many of us as to when to start something but we delayed the start of our project because the conditions did not look perfect.  Sometimes the thing that we were looking for to get started was right in front of eyes or in our hands but because it did not look how we expect it to look, we inadvertently overlooked that opportunity and continue to wait for the perfect condition.

Start now

Whatever you want to do with your life, start now. You do not have to wait to get everything you need. You can start small and grow that thing into something bigger and bigger annually. You can also start big now too if you believe in yourself.

You do not have to wait until you reach a certain age to achieve what you want. You do not have to wait until you go to college or graduate from college to start that “thing”. Some of us will not go to college so why are you waiting to start that project until you complete college.

As you procrastinate each day on starting your project, you are losing the opportunity to others who are considering something similar to what you are thinking.

Stop making excuses – You are afraid

Stop making excuses on why you have not started as yet. The truth is many of us are afraid. We are afraid of failure. We are afraid of what people will think of us if we failed. Quite frankly, some of us do not know where to start and so we make excuses. We love to use the excuse “Nothing happens before its time.” The thing is if you keep saying nothing happens before its time, nothing will happen because you are making an excuse to start something at the perfect time. If you are waiting on the perfect time, then of course, nothing will happen.

There is no perfect condition

You will be waiting all of your life for the perfect condition but a perfect condition does not exist. You see when the Israelites escaped from Egypt they ran into the Red Sea. They probably were afraid of dying and would rather turn back and go to Egypt. However, God turned that Red Sea into Dry Land allowing the Israelites to run away successfully.

Therefore, whatever condition you are facing now, do not let it deter you from starting that project. Have faith and believe that you will successful in whatever you do because you have God on your side.

Conclusion

Stop procrastinating. That husband or wife you are looking for may be right in your presence but because they do not match your external features criteria, you forgo of that opportunity and may end up marrying the wrong person. That business that you want to start, you think you do have enough money to start. Start with the little you have. Don’t wait until the economy bounces back, start now because there is no perfect time.
