Buy only what you need.
During the Holiday Season, there will be a lot of temptations for you to go on a shopping spree. This is the time of the year when many retailers have significant discounts or sales on their products and services. Be very careful as this is a tactic to get you to their place to buy things you do not need.
I know there are some individuals that really need some things, and this is perhaps the best time to get them because of the sales. On the other hand, there are some people that do not need some of these things. You get it because you are convinced you need them, and you believe it is a good time of the year to get it. The truth is some retailers have sales throughout the year and you do not have to wait until this time to go on a shopping spree. Some retailers also mislead you because they would increase the price of their goods and services and then show a sale price making you believe you are getting a deal when in fact the sale price was the original price anyway.
It is time we controlled ourselves and focused on our needs. Too often we get things to satisfy our wants and not our needs. You should not be using up all your money to shop during the holidays. The retailers are the ones benefiting and not you. If you are getting something and only going to use it or wear it once, then that is not a benefit to you. In my opinion it is a waste of your money. Why would you go on a shopping spree to store up things that you will not use on a regular basis and then soon or later you may have to get rid of them.
I encourage you to save your money and then when you have accumulated enough money, invest your money perhaps in real estate. Do not use your money and go on your shopping spree.
If your appliances are in working condition, you do not need to replace them. If you have enough clothes to wear, you do not need to buy more clothes, just mix, and match. If you have at least two pairs of shoes, you don’t need to buy more shoes. Maybe women may want at least three pairs of shoes, but men don’t need more than two pairs of shoes. If you have a bottle of cologne or spray, don’t buy anymore until the one that you are using is finished. If your phone is in working condition, there is no need to buy a new phone. The purpose of your phone is to make and receive calls or send messages. If these are still operational, then don’t go on a shopping for phones.
The thing is you don’t know what tomorrow may bring and so don’t spend all your money on things you do not need. Furthermore, The Holiday Season should not be about shopping, it should be about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
