Do not panic – Be prepared.

Home or office security

Do not panic – Be prepared.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Matthew 24:42-43

Introduction

Being in a state of panic will not alleviate any situation.  In fact, a panic state may cause you to make premature decisions resulting sometimes in bad choices. The antidote for being panic is to be prepared and remain calm. I know this is easier said than done but all of us at some point will encounter some challenging situations in our lives. These situations could be a health crisis, financial situation, the death of a loved one especially an unexpected death. No matter what the situation is we have to remain calm because panicking will not resolved the situation.

Be prepared – Jesus is coming

Many of us live our lives on a daily basis as if Jesus does not exist. However, life is a mist, so the best thing to do is for us to be prepared for his coming. Be prepared by accepting the Lord in your life and live your life pleasing and acceptable to him.  Therefore when Jesus returns, if you have accepted him, you will not be excluded. You would be right there with him.

Be prepared – Death will take place

It is very common nowadays whereby people are dying suddenly and unexpectedly. After the death, there is a lot of grief. However, the best comfort for anyone is knowing that their loved ones die in Christ. If you do not die in Christ, the persons who are left behind will continue to worry about their loved ones but it will be too late therefor the best thing to do is be ready as we do not know when the Lord will take us.

Be prepared – Hurricanes will come

We live in the Hurricane zone and so Hurricanes will come at one point. We will pray against them coming and sometimes they still come. I don’t know why but it happens. The best thing to do is be prepared. You are given tips. You must followed those tips. For example, if you live in low lying area, move away and find a shelter because storms will come. Be prepared.

Be prepared – Trials and Tribulations will come

Trials and tribulations will come and when they come we may panic. Everyone including Christians will experience trials and tribulations. The word of the Lord says count it joy when you experience trials and tribulations because the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Don’t get caught off guard when trials and tribulations come your way.

Be prepared – Save

The coronavirus has created a lot of fear among people and as a result, there is cancellations by tourists which will impact our income. Be prepared by saving. Don’t get into any further debt at this time. Be prepared also by ensuring you save adequate food supplies in the event there is delay in distribution of food supplies to the country.

Conclusion

We need to be prepared. Don’t be like the parables of ten virgins in Matthew 25 who took their lamps to meet the bridegroom. The foolish five took their lamps with them but they did not take any oil while the other wise five took their lamps with oil in the jars. When the bridegroom came, the virgins who were prepared went in to the wedding banquet. The other five were not prepared and went to buy oil but when they came back the door was already shut.

You do not have to panic or be left out. Be prepared at all times.
