Introduction

Twenty-two years ago on this day, the Lord blessed me and Joanna with our second child and our first son whom we named Jowell Christian. It was a joyous occasion, and we thank God for entrusting you in our care.

A tribute to Jowell

Jowell, we are so proud of the young man you have become. Of course, you have had your challenges and obstacles but thank God, you overcame them and now you use your testimony to glorify God and to inspire others.

It does not mean that you will not have any more challenges because we know the enemy does not like the path you are on and so he will try to distract you. Stay focused and continue to use the word of God as your guide to live in this world. Even if you were to fall, don’t stay down, rise up and take your position.

Thank you for inspiring me and Joanna and keeping us on our feet spiritually. Sometimes we are so pre-occupied with our businesses that we compromise our time with God. However, every day you call us and remind us to read the bible and then later you would ask us what we read. Keep pushing us because we need it.

Even though we are so much older than you, we learn so much from you. We love how you dig further into the word of God for the truth. More importantly, we are so thankful that you have found your purpose in life. It took us years to find our purpose.

Thank you also for inspiring, encouraging and praying for your brothers, Drexwell, Jostin, Josiah and your sister Drexanna.

Your personality is so great that everyone that interacts with you just loves being around you. Keep smiling and keep caring for others. You are making a difference in the lives of others.

Finally, you have a great talent for drawing and music. I don’t think these talents are coincidental. God has given them to you for a reason. Invest in your talents and use them for the Glory of God.

Conclusion

I think all parents should be proud of their children. However, it is a special feeling that is indescribable when your child makes a commitment to serve the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul. We wish you great success in your pursuit of a degree in Christian Counselling. Do your best to complete the journey you started. Never give up. Failure is not an option. Happy Birthday son! We love you more than words can describe.
