How is your Faith?

How is your Faith?

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith Matthew 8:10

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. Matthew 8:26

Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Introduction

I do not know about you but most times when I am conversation with others, the questions normally asked are, how are you doing? How is your health? How is your family? How is your business? Very rarely do we ask others, how is their faith?

The Bible says that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can tell a mountain to move from here to there and it will move.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. With that definition of faith, my question to all of us including myself “How is your faith?”

Exercise Your Faith

If you have faith which I believe you do, then exercise your faith.  Below are some illustrations of some individuals in the Bible that exercised their faith.

Noah exercised his faith by building an ark without ever hearing or seeing about rain during that era. What about you? There are perhaps things God has told you in dreams and visions and dreams but they look so farfetched that you cannot comprehend them. Exercise your faith and be prepared for your dreams and visions to materialize.

Abraham and Sarah exercised their faith and became parents at an old age. What about you? Do you think you are too old to get the things you wanted?

Moses led the Israelites through the Red Sea on dry land. Perhaps you have some issues in your life that you need to pass through. Exercise your faith, walk through those issues and allow God to let you pass through it.

Do you have doubts?

Are you doubting when you ask for things? The word of the Lord said that if you doubt you will be like a wave of sea driven and tossed by the wind. Do you want to be tossed by the wind? If no, then stop doubting and have faith for the things you ask for.

Do you have little faith?

In Matthew 8:23, the disciples were afraid because they thought they were going to drown due to the waves. Jesus rebuked the winds and waves and asked the disciples why they have little faith. What about you? Are you afraid to face the storms in your life because you have little faith?

Is Your Faith Great?

There is a story in the Bible about a centurion who came to Jesus so that his servant can be healed. The Centurion had great faith and told Jesus to just speak the word and his servant will be healed. At that very hour, the servant was healed.

This is not to say you have to have great faith in order to be healed as there are only two examples in the Bible that refers to great faith. Jesus was describing the kind of faith the centurion had. The Bible clearly tells us if we have faith as small as mustard seed, we can move mountains. Therefore, the point is that you have to have faith.

What about you? Do you have faith? Do you believe you can be healed from that condition? Do you believe that your family members or co-workers can be healed? Have faith.

Conclusion

I believe the fact that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour is a demonstration that you have faith. You cannot see Jesus but you believe he is the way. If you believe in Jesus Christ, then use your faith to move those mountains out of you way.
