Introduction

I know many of us want things quickly, but I believe everything takes time and will eventually come to fruition. We must learn to be patient, but you must also do your part while waiting. The Bible clearly states that there is a time for everything.

Some may argue and say timing is not everything, but timing is important and critical to your success.  Some may also say it is luck. I believe timing is everything and because timing is everything, we should not waste our time.

Timing in life

I know many of us are struggling and you feel like you will remain in that position forever or for a long time. Some of us have been praying for a very long time and you don’t see any results. You will not remain in the state forever. Sometimes we do not know why things take long but based on my experience, it is just a matter of time before the manifestation takes place.

Some of you may be rushing through in life, even trying to rush your children. Don’t take short cuts. Enjoy your life as you go through the different stages in life. Everything takes time.

I don’t know why some things take long but perhaps it is a test and if it is a test, make sure you pass the test because timing is everything.

Timing in relationship

Timing in relationships is very important. Over time, you will learn about that individual. A person can only pretend for so long and therefore eventually he or she will show their true colours. It is all about timing. Once you have learned about that person, you can then determine whether you want to stay in that relationship or get out of that relationship. I believe there is someone out there for everybody. Don’t rush into a relationship. Timing is everything.

Timing on the job

The probationary period for most new employees is 3 months. This gives the employer an opportunity to determine whether the employee can do the job. Some employers must extend the probationary period to 6 months. Of course, some people can do well during the probationary period but after time, you will know if the employee is the right fit for the company.

Timing in justice

Some of you have been mistreated, used, and abused. You have gone through the judicial process, and you still did not get justice. It is just a matter of time before that perpetrator meets his or her match. You do not need to take matters into your own hands. Timing is everything.

Timing in Politics

For more than 47 years, I have observed the workings of politics in our country. The thing in politics is about timing. However, everybody wants to take credit for this and that. The blind can see what is needed in our country and no one has more ideas than the other. It just so happened; you are in politics at that time when that event or idea materialized. Even if you were not there, eventually it would have occurred because we all have the same ideas. Let’s stop focusing on whose idea it was because it is all about timing.

Conclusion

Timing is everything. I conclude with Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens; a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
