Introduction

All of us want a better life for ourselves and our families and therefore spend most of our time and energy in pursuit of wealth. As a result, we have very little time left to spend with God and our family.

Some of us are also preoccupied with other issues in our lives such as health issues, marital issues and concerns with your children. These issues are taking a toll on you and you have lost your focus.

This article is to encourage you to stay focused and do not get distracted and fall for the enemy’s trap.

Sicknesses

I know it is very hard to remain focused after being diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. You are so worried that you may die soon. Some of you have been praying for months and you do not see any healing being manifested and you get discouraged. When you get discouraged, this will lead you to have doubts and when you doubt, you become double minded and in the end your healing is delayed.

Stay focused, believe that you will be healed without a shadow of a doubt. Stay in the word, every day meditate on healing scriptures and repeat them.  Otherwise, the enemy will make you believe that it is impossible for you to be healed. Do not fall for that trap.

Finances

It is really hard when you have little or insufficient funds to pay your bills. Some of you are living paycheck to paycheck and some of you are unemployed and you do not know where your next cent is coming from. This puts you in panic mode and you get discouraged. You start worrying and end up losing your focus. You may end up playing the lottery and doing other illegal things to get money. You may end up getting a loan to pay off another loan. You may end up living off credit cards. You may also end up stealing and possibly end up in jail. Stay Focused. Rather than being distracted, examine your condition and eliminate those things you do not need.

Marriage

Some of you are single and you want to get married. You have been waiting for a long time and as soon as the first person comes around, you think he or she is the one. Make sure you know the person and make sure you hear from the Lord before you make any commitment to marriage. Perhaps it is not the plan for some of you to be married. Have you ever considered that?

Husbands and wives are fighting over simple things and soon these simple things become complex issues. Stay Focused.  Husbands and wives are also pursuing other people or other people are pursuing them and soon an affair takes place. Stay Focused. Do NOT fall for the trap of the enemy to destroy your marriage.

The Truth

Some of you are now questioning what is wrong and what is right and therefore ultimately, you are asking what is the Truth. My friends stay focused. The truth is in the Bible. Do not lose focus. There are some churches today that are losing focus and want to please the world so they have accepted the things the world says as True as opposed to the Truth from the Word of God. Do not get distracted by the mentality of some individuals trying to persuade you to think the Word of God is false.

The TV and other Entertainment

Stay in the Word. There are so many distractions on TV and other media that you find you are spending all of your time watching shows and do not have any time for the word. As a result, you lose your focus and the enemy creeps in your life. The Word has everything you need. Stay away from the TV and other unnecessary shows or find a balance.

Your Goals

Pursue your goals despite the obstacles. Do not get distracted. God says that he will never leave you nor forsake you. These obstacles will distract you from pursuing your goals and you may end up falling for something you do not want simply because you think you cannot achieve your goals.

Your Children

There is no greater love than a love a parent has for a child. Some of our children have gone astray and are living a life contrary to how you brought them up. This can keep you up at nights thinking about your children. Stay focused. Cover your children with prayer. Never give up on them but do not let their behaviors distract you. Be confident that you did your part in raising them in the right way.

Children, please stay focused. Do not fall for the trap of peer pressure. You have a bright future but you got to stay focused.

Your Business

You may have a business and you are facing many issues. Stay Focused. Review your business strategy or plan or add alternatives to your business. If you are sure this is what you want to do, do not get distracted. Stay focused and keep your business open.

Your Enemies

Some of us have enemies and the actions of your enemies are causing you to change. Do not plan any revenge on your enemies. Stay focused. Your enemy is there to distract you. Do no fall for the trap. The battle is not yours.

Your Friends

Be careful who you surround yourself with. Do not walk in the counsel of the wicked. If you are the type that can be easily persuaded, you may find yourself doing the same things some of your friends are doing. Stay Focused. Do not lose your spot in Heaven because of your Friends.

Why Should You stay Focused on God?

• There is no one else like God.
• He will never leave you nor forsake you.
• He will protect You.
• He will not disappoint you.
• He will strengthen you.
• He will fight for you and cause you to win your battles.
• He is faithful.
• He will Grant You Your Desires of Your Heart.

How Can I Stay Focused?

• Always Stay in the Word.
• Maintain your relationship with God.
• Do not Be Afraid.
• Do not Worry.
• Always Seek God.
• Surround yourself with Christians and discuss the Word.
• Always pray and Talk to God.
• Do not focus on your issues.
• Do not get caught up in the things of this world.

Conclusion

The key for success in God is to stay focused on God. Be strong and courageous because the enemy will place some distractions in your life and sooner or later you start to lose focus and fall for the enemy’s trap. The enemy comes to kill and destroy. God came that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Therefore, stay focused.
