I believe we need to set standards in the way we live in this World and those standards should be based on the sound doctrine from the Word of God.
If countries continue to change their laws to satisfy the emotions of human beings, the countries are setting a wrong precedence. Soon and very soon, if this trend continues, people will want laws to be passed so that they can get married to their animals or have sexual relations with underage children.

What does the Bible say about same about same sex marriage?
The Bible clearly indicates that marriage is between a man and woman from the time Adam and Eve were created and therefore marriage should not be honoured between two persons of the same sex.
Yes there will be persons who are attracted to the same sex but the Bible specifically instructs us that we should not have sexual relations with the same sex and if we do, we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Because the Bible states this, then it obvious that God does not want people of the same sex to be married.

As a result of their behavior, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Perhaps this sin has been passed from generation to generation and hence some people feel the way they feel.
What does Universal Declaration of Human Rights say about same marriage?
It was in 1948 that the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In article 16 of this declaration, it states that “men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality, or religion have the right to marry and found a family. However, this article does not say anything about same sex. Article 1 says that all humans are born equal. Article 2 says that everyone is entitled to all rights and freedom. Article 7 says that humans are entitled without discrimination to equal protection. Therefore, people are using these articles as a basis for same sex marriage.
Conclusion and Recommendation
If individuals can take this matter to court and win, then we need to go on our knees and pray that this ruling will not take place in TCI. We must stand our ground and even if it means going to court to ensure that the preamble in our constitution (marriage is between a man and woman) remains and cannot be overridden.
