We don’t need to fight and have a war against people

We don’t need to fight and have a war against people

Our battle is against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness

Introduction

Many of us spend a lot of energy and time fighting with other people including our family, friends, enemies, employers, coworkers, and Government.  When we think about all these fights that take place, do the fights resolve anything or does anything good come out of these fights.  You know what comes out of these fights, more fights, more war, jealousy, hatred, and murders. The main reason why fighting against people does not resolve anything is because we are fighting the people rather than fighting the sprits that attached themselves to people. Ephesians 6:12 states that “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rules of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Flesh and blood

I believe that most people behave in a negative way is because they are being controlled by an evil spirit.  If we do not recognize this, we will continue to fight with people and then we being to wonder why we do not see any improvement. In fact, sometimes we see people are getting worst. For people to improve, we need to attack the sprits behind those people.

Principalities

The principalities referred to in this scripture means demons and these demons have spirits. These sprits include spirit of lust, spirit of violence, spirit of gossiping, spirit of lying and the list goes on and on. No matter how many times you attack your spouse for cheating or your children for lying, they may continue to carry out these behaviours because we did not attack the spirits.

Powers

Satan has powers and he use his powers to get to some of us. Some of us are engaging in his power by getting involve in astrology and withcraft.  The power of Satan is limited and is inferior to the power of God. I think sometimes we forget how powerful our God is. The word of God says greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.  Luke 10:19 says that “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Therefore, I encourage you today to activate the power within you and you can defeat the power of the enemy. Stop being afraid of the power of Satan.

Ruler of darkness

The devil is the ruler of darkness, and he will try to convince you to operate in darkness by not believing the word of God. The Bible is the truth, and, in the Bible, it clearly states that Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.  John 8:12 sates that “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life. If you walk in darkness, you may be subject to depression and fear. Remember God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind.

Spiritual wickedness in high places

There is wickedness in high places and that is because the Devil and his agents are on loose in these high places, be it Government, your job and even your home. We can defeat the wickedness in the high place by attacking the spiritual forces.

How to win the battle?

We can win this spiritual battle by putting on the full armour of God. Ephesians 6:13-17 states that “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about the truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” From the above scripture, the full armour encompasses truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the word of God.

Conclusion

To put on the full armour of God, it requires you to pray continuously and in the spirit. Therefore, I conclude with Ephesians 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
