The storm is coming!
Christian Articles, Faith,

Storms will always come but God always sees us through

Always be prepared before, during and after a storm

The Hurricane Season is from June 1st to November 30th, and so more than likely a Hurricane is expected to occur during this time. The good news is that we get warnings when a Hurricane is about to come and so we have time to prepare for the storm. Before I proceed further, let me highlight the efforts of Paul Wilkerson who on a voluntarily basis keeps us informed about the weather conditions through a page he created called the Turks and Caicos Islands Weather Information.

I know many of us have been praying and hoping that the Hurricane did not come but it came. Perhaps you are questioning God why he allowed these things to happen when we ask for them not to happen.  I don’t know the answer but what I do know is that we will experience storms in our lives and God will be right there in the midst.

The Turks and Caicos has been so blessed over the last couple of Hurricanes in that no lives were lost. The things that we lost such as our roof tops or houses can be and will be restored. In fact, you may get something better than what you had before.

Be prepared

In preparation of a storm, we are always advised to be prepared. Preparation is the key for any storm. You may not be able to control the storm, but you can certainly prepare for it by ensuring that you have all the necessary things in place, and follow the guidelines, before, during and after the storm. Some of us do not take precaution and we end up suffering as a result.

Like a Hurricane, we will also experience other storms in our lives, and we can apply the same principles and guidelines that we did for a hurricane. Be prepared for the storms. Unlike a hurricane, we may not get a warning as a storm may certainly creep up on you, so it is best to be alert and be conscious that storms will take place.  Of course, you may ask how to prepare for an unexpected storm. All I can say is to be calm and have faith and remember God is with you and he will restore your losses.

No one wants to experience storms in their lives, but storms will take place among the good and the bad. Look at the story about Job who was a righteous man but experience so many storms. He lost his children and fortune, but God restored him twice with as much as he had before. During the storms in his life, Job remained faithful and calm, and he maintained his integrity. What about you?  The way you prepare before, during and after the storm determines how the storm will impact you.

Do your thing and learn to be patient

Don’t give up, your time will come

We live in an era where we want things instantly. There is nothing wrong with this desire, but we must be very careful because sometimes we end up making the wrong decisions simply because we want quick results. Of course, there are some things that you do that will result in instant result but there are also some events and circumstances in your life that require you to be patient.

I don’t know what you are going through, but I know whatever you are going through is just temporary and if you do the right thing, your time will come when you get what you desire.

Do your thing

Being patient does not mean you just be idle and don’t do anything. Everybody has needs and whatever your needs are, I encourage you to pursue them. However, recognize that there may be a delay in getting the desired results. Therefore, don’t ever mix up patience with procrastination.

Be patient

I know many of you have been praying for something and you feel like giving up because it is taking to long. I want you to remember the story about Job who encountered suffering and lost almost everything he had but he remained patient and God restored him.

I know some of you have a business and you are struggling. In fact, it reaches point where you want to close it. If you believe that this business is what you were called to do, be patient. Review your strategy, promote your business, always pray over your business and eventually your business will prosper. Don’t lie, cheat, or become greedy in your business so you can make more money. The truth will eventually come out so be patient.

Some of you are lonely and you want to have a solid relationship. Make your requests known to God. However, don’t rush in a relationship with someone just because you want to be in a relationship. Learn to be patient and you will get your desire.

Some of you are disappointed in how your children. One thing I will say is do not turn your back on your children and do not stop praying for them. Be patient, your children will turn around. I know sometimes you see other children doing so well and you wonder what happen to your children. You need to stop comparing your children to others. Some of you children may experience failures in life but it does not mean it is the end of their lives. Be patient, pray and believe that your children will be successful.

Some of you are faced with diseases and you have been praying for years for good health and you don’t see any changes. As a result, you give up. Eat healthy, follow the instructions from the doctor and wait and see how your health will be restored. Be patient. Stop focusing on the symptoms.

To be patient, requires you to have faith. Therefore, activate your faith. To be patient, also requires you to have self-control. You see if you don’t have any self-control, you may take short cuts and act prematurely resulting in negative outcomes. To be patient means you should not give up. I know many of you are wondering how long you must wait. I don’t know the answer, but I do know we must learn to be patient.

Sun will rise and we will try again

Rise up no matter how many times you fall -Don’t give up so get up

In life, you will experience ups and downs. Sometimes when we are up though, we always think we will remain up, but the truth is, life is a season.  You will encounter some failures and trials and sometimes you will feel like you will be in this state for a long time. As a result, some of us tend to accept these “failed” state of conditions as permanent. No matter how long you have been in that state or how many times you fall, always strive to rise.

Think Positive

One way to rise up, despite the many times you fall, is to think positive. If you keep thinking the worst about your situation, more than likely your situation will not improve. However, if you think positively, you can get out of that situation. After all, you are what you think. There are some of you who are wondering why you are not getting better; it is because you think you are not going to get better.  The word of Lords says in Philippians 4:8 says that “Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

I don’t know about you, but I remember I used to think so negatively until I told myself that if I think the opposite of how I feel, then I will get the desired results. However, that was a lie. You see when you think positively, you must believe something good will happen.

I personally believe that for you to successfully get out of your state, you not only have to think positively, but you also must believe in what you think. Some of us say we are thinking positively but we doubt what we think. Stop saying you believe but at the same time thinking the worst. This is like a double minded person. In James 1:6-8 “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is a like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

Always remember life is a season

Whenever and whatever you are going through, always remember that life is a season. Your condition is just temporary. Nothing lasts forever just like seasons do not last forever. Therefore, one of the keys to get out of your situation is to believe that and remember that what you are going through is for a season.

Your thoughts and actions will determine your destination. Some of us think that we are not good enough and that bad things will always follow us.  If you are thinking that way, try to change your thoughts by first believing that something good will take place for you. For those of you are thinking positively and have not seen the manifestation of what you desired yet, just don’t give up.  Continue to think positively, believe, and remember life is a season.

Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. Young woman

Speak life into your situations and rise up

All things are possible

Many of you are confronted with so many “dead” issues in your life. Your relationships with your spouses and children may be “dead” or weak. The doctor may have informed you that your health is in a declining state. You may feel so hopeless and rejected. You are so unhappy and when you think you do one thing to make you happy, you find out that you are still not happy.

Everything in your life seems to be upside down. You are running from relationship to relationship hoping the next one will be better. You do not have any money and you don’t know what to do. You are working so hard, and you feel like you are being overlooked on the job. Your mind is all over the place. In fact, you feel like you are normal.

If you are facing these situations, you do not to remain in that state. Remember all things are possible and no good thing does God want to withhold from you. However, in order to get out of these situations, it requires you with the help of God to take yourself out of these situations. Believe or not, the simple solution is to speak life into your situations.

Speak life into your situations

Your relationship is dead because you believe it is dead and you act like it is dead. Your health is declining because you believe in the symptoms you are experiencing. You believe in the doctor’s report.

The power of life and death is in the tongue. If you believe this, then you need to start speaking life into your situations. Your “dead” situation remains “dead” because you are not speaking life into your situation.

Whatever your situation is and no matter how impossible it looks, speak life into it. Tell yourself it will work. Not only tell yourself it will work, believe it will work. Every morning you get up, speak life. The more you speak life, the more it will become into being. If you remain quiet and don’t speak life into your situation, then more than likely a change will not take place and your condition may deteriorate.

Rise Up

After you speak life into your situation, rise up and take your position. Don’t look back. The only time you should look back is when you reflect on how God took you out of that situation. The thing is, as long as you are on this earth, you will be faced with some unforeseen circumstances, and you may easily give up. Always remember you were in situation before, and you got out of it and so you can get it out of it again.

Rise up and look forward to a better day and a better tomorrow. Remember no good thing will God withhold from them walk uprightly. Dead issues are not good things. Sickness is not a good thing. Being hopeless is not a good thing. Feeling unhappy is not a good thing. Feeling abnormal is not a good thing. Therefore, rise up and embrace the good things in life.

I know it is easier said than done but you really need to start speaking life into your situations. It may not manifest immediately but over time, your “dead” situation can become alive. Too many people are speaking death over these situations and don’t even realize what they are doing. It is time to use your mouth and speak life. It is that simple so try it.
