THE POWER OF WORDS CAN KILL YOU OR HEAL YOU

DO NOT SPEAK A DEATH SENTENCE ON INDIVIDUALS BECAUSE THE DOCTORS DIAGNOSED THEM WITH AN ILLNESS

SPEAK LIFE TO THEIR SITUATION

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Introduction

There appears to be an alarming increase in individuals being diagnosed with a number of illnesses. Getting news from a medical doctor can be life changing experience for many of us.  However, rest assured the greatest news is from the word of God and the word says that he came that you may have life and you may have it more abundantly. The word also says that you shall live and not die. The word also says that God wants us to prosper and be in good health as our soul prospers.

Unfortunately, it seems many of us tend to forget what the word says and focus entirely on the doctor’s diagnosis. What makes matters worst is the way in which some individuals approach you when they hear about the diagnosis the doctors gave you. Rather than speaking life over your situation, they speak a death sentence over your life.

The Death Sentence

Based on statistics and past experiences, people put a death sentence on your lives. Because Jane Doe die from a particular illness, they think John Doe must also die and so they automatically assume you will die soon. However, there are so many cases in which persons were able to recover from the same illnesses that Jane Doe die from.

You see your mouth is a powerful weapon and can deter one’s destination by the very words you speak.  Stop assuming the worst about someone. Whenever you hear someone is sick, pray that they will get better. Do not pray with doubts because you know of the statistics. Do not go spreading negative news about someone when you hear they are sick. We put death sentences on people lives by saying “ I hear Jane Doe is not doing well”, ‘Jane Doe is on her way out, it does not look good. I don’t think she will make it. People want to kill you before your time. Some people do not realize what they are doing and hence the purpose of this article.

Speak Life

Speak Life to the situation. The word says Call those things that are not as though they were.  The Doctor may say you are sick but the Lord say that he is the Lord that healeth the. Therefore, speak to your condition. My kidneys are functioning well, my eyes are functioning well. I am cancer free. I am healed. I will walk again. Nothing is impossible without you Lord. When you speak these things into existence, do it with Strong Faith, not Weak Faith with unbelief.

Lazarus was dead in the tomb for four days and Jesus was able to raise him. There are other powerful testimonies from other people who were sick and doctors had given up on them but today they are very much alive and living a normal life.  No matter what your situation is, you can get out of it no matter how impossible it looks for nothing is impossible without God.

Conclusion

Words can heal you and words can kill you. If You truly care about someone, be positive about their condition and speak those things that are not as though they were. Be conscious of what you are saying to anyone. Words are Powerful. Speak Life to the Situation. Do not speak death.

plantseed
Christian Articles,

The seed you plant will determine the type of plant that is produced

Plant a good seed for your children , grandchildren and great grandchildren. However, a dead or bad plant can be delivered and saved too.

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. (Exodus 34:7)

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. (Leviticus 26:40 & 42)

Introduction

We were all born into sin. Sin entered this world through one man. However, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Many of our great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents and us have not confessed our sins and they passed their sins onto us. We will be punished because we continue to be in sin but we do not have to if we ask God for forgiveness.

Our Bad Seeds

The seeds we plant today will determine the plant we bear. Sometimes we do not even realize we are planting these seeds.

Some of the bad seeds planted are as follows:

  • Promiscuity
  • Homosexuality
  • Anger issues
  • Drunkenness
  • Depression
  • Witchcraft practices

Our Behaviours

Some individuals cannot control their behaviours because of seeds from their forefathers. However, all hope is not lost because Jesus Christ is the answer. 2 Corinthians 5:17 states that “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! God can deliver and save the bad behaviours.

We see a lot of young girls who are very promiscuous and we wonder why. We see some men and women who are drunkards and we wonder why. We see some men and women engaging in same sex relationships and we wonder why.

If you were to check the background of families, you will note the same behaviours were exhibited in our forefathers. At one point, someone in the family committed a sin and continue in sin and did not confess and then the children, and their children continue in the same sin and did not confess.

While generational curses may be attributed to these behaviours, some of the behaviours are also because of demonic and evil forces.

How to Overcome these bad seeds?

  • Recognize that what you are doing is not normal and is contrary to the word of God.
  • Confess your sins. If your forefathers are alive have them also confess their sins.
  • The devil will bother you but resist the temptation. He will flee.
  • Individuals who are in relationship, make sure you know the background of these partners and pray against generational curses.
  • Plant good seeds so that your good seeds can produce good plants for your children and grandchildren. Do not be promiscuous. Stick with one partner. Do not get involve in abnormal sexual relations. Resist the temptations. Do not get angry. Try to be calm. Do not get involve in a lot of drinking. Resist the temptations. Do not ever get caught up in dealing with witchcraft activities. You may think you have achieve your desired results but you are risking a great future for your generation. Stay focus in the word. Never give up to depression. Remember God has not given you a spirit of fear but of Power, Love and a Sound Mind.
  • Stay in the word and go to the church. Make sure your children are attending church as well so they can be grounded in the word and know what to do when they experience some of the byproducts from the seeds of their forefathers.

You can be Delivered

Know that you can be delivered from your sins. Don’t ever say you cannot stop. Don’t ever say you cannot help it because you were born so. You are in bondage and you can be delivered. All you have to do is ask God for deliverance.  Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law but we must confess our sins.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”

Do not give up. You can be delivered. Your children can be delivered. Your parents and grandparents can be delivered.

Conclusion

I know this is a topical issue. However, I know everything we need to know is in the Bible. We often wonder why we are doing some of the same things as our forefathers. It is because the sins passed on to us and we continue in that sin without confessing our sins.

However, it is not the end of the world. You can be redeemed and make a powerful impact in this world.

Do Not Give Up on Your Children. They are Gifts from God.

Children are a heritage from the Lord. Psalms 127:3

Introduction

Most times when we receive a gift from someone, we tend to cherish and make sure we take good care of the gift especially if it is an expensive gift.

Children are gifts from God and they are priceless. No amount of money can replace them if they die. When we get these gifts, we must learn to nurture and appreciate these precious gifts. At the same time though, we must ensure that they are trained properly for the word said in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

Because our children our gifts from God, they should not be abused physically, mentally or sexually. They must be protected. Stand by your Child. If you do not stand by them, then who will.

No matter how they come out at birth, (pretty, ugly, short, tall,) love them for they are your gifts from God. No matter how they turn out as a teenager or adult, love them and do not give up.

Parents Take Care of Your Children

There are too many cases where children are being raised by a single parent. Parents that are separated must find a way to ensure that the children are being raised by both parents. I know it is not easy especially if the separation between the parents were not amicable.

These children are gifts from God and so handle them like gifts from God. Too many times we see parents especially men bragging about how many children they have but yet they are not really fathers to those children. Some of them are just sperm donors. At the same time, there are some parents who refuse for other parents to play a role in the children lives

One day these children will grow up and become adults and they will have some form of resentment not only towards their parents but the family of the parents. Also, one day the same child you neglected may have to be the very one who will take care of you when you get old. You do not know the future so do the right thing by being responsible and take care of these precious jewels. Ensure that you have a great relationship with your children. Children need more than money. They need love, moral support and attention.

Do Not Compare Your Children with Other Children

There are some children that are very smart academically and there are some children that are very talented in other areas. Remember this, that your child has gifts. Never compare your child to someone else. We live in a society where there is so much comparison. Parents comparing their children with other children, teachers comparing the children to others, society comparing some children to their parents. Teach your children from a young age not to compare themselves to others.

This comparison can have a negative impact on your child. When it comes to academics, your child may end disliking school because of the pressure from the comparison. You may see some parents talking highly of their children academics, don’t focus on them. God has a great plan for your child.

Give them time to know who they are as individuals. Encourage them at all times. Do not pressure them to become something you want them to be or what you see others are becoming. Let them pursue the passion they desire.  At the end of the day, what really matters is their happiness. Do not drive your children to depression. Children develop at different levels and different times. God has great plans for your children. After all, they are his children.

Train Your Children

Train your children using God’s word. Pray and read the bible with them daily. Some may divert from the teaching of the Bible but rest assured, sub consciously what you taught them at a young age will always resonate with them or be in their subconscious mind.

They may disappoint you at times, but if you teach them God’s word, they will come around one day and you will be very pleased. The word of Lord said Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Speak Good Things and Pray

Some people call their children, dumb, ugly, stupid, slow, ignorant or you just like your ‘good for nothing par or mar’. Our children are gifts from God and gifts from God are not dumb or stupid. Gifts from God are good. Your children are good.

Some of you may encounter many different issues with your children. Some of your children may be in gangs, may be on drugs, may be failing in school, may be keeping bad company, some may become parents at teenagers and some may drop out of college.

Do not give up on them. If you as parents give up on them then who will be there to support them. Despite the situation and how it looks, speak good things. Your children lives can turnaround. Always pray for them. Always tell them you love them.

Conclusion

Do not take these children for granted. Of course, we do not want you to spoil them but take good care of them like they are gifts from God.

For those of you who are trying to have children but not successful as yet, do not feel despondent. God knows your desire. He will provide you with those wonderful gifts soon and when he does, I know you will take great care of them. Your gift is on the way.

In writing this article, it is a reminder to me that my children are gifts from God. Sometimes I complain about the children and sometimes I would ask other parents if they want my children. However, I would not trade my children for anything. This article was truly a wakeup call for me and I hope it is for you.

Do not give up on your children no matter what the circumstances may be. They are yours and very few people will love them or take care of them like you do.

jealousy
Christian Articles,

The Spirit of Jealousy is a sin and can even lead to Murder

Recognize this Spirit and Do not Get Trapped with It.

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. James 3:16

Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy? Proverbs 27:4

Introduction

Many of us are so preoccupy or consume with the things that other people have until it reaches a point that the spirit of jealousy is activated.  I believe at some point in our lives, all of us were faced with the spirit of Jealousy. However, some are mild while others are very extreme.

We see individuals with a new vehicle, a new or bigger home, new clothing, new physical appearances, a new business, a new job, a promotion, a husband, a wife, children, we tend to get jealous. We are even jealous of the different gifts and abilities that others have. We also tend to be jealous when we see others appear to be prospering more than us.

Jealousy is a sinful act and leads to division, hate, and even murder. The spirit of jealousy lines up with the plan of the Devil as he came to kill, steal and destroy.

Division

Jealousy not only leads to division among friends but even within our own families. Brothers against brothers and sisters against sisters.  When you are divided, you are fall. This is one of the primary issues we have in our country. We are so divided and perhaps if we were to look at the source of the issue, maybe it will be revealed as the spirit of jealousy. How can we be on a united front if we are so divided over simple things? This is not the plan of God.

Hate

Jealousy leads to hate. Because you envy someone so much and you do not possess the things they have, you will end up hating an individual. Soon thereafter, you stop speaking to the person. Sometimes the individual does not even know why you stopped talking to him or her. It is simply because you are jealous and now have develop a hate for that individual.

This is exemplified in the Book of Genesis 37 where Joseph’s brothers were jealous of him and ended up selling up their brother to the Ishmaelites.

Murder

People are killing one another due to jealousy. This all started from the children of Adam and Eve namely the story about Cain and Abel.

In Genesis 4, The Lord showed favour to Abel’s offering but not Cain’s. Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him all because of jealousy.

Today people are still being killed because of jealousy. However, killing someone is not worth it. When you get caught (and you will get caught one day), you will be imprisoned and cannot enjoy the things that you were jealous about.

Even right here in Turks and Caicos. I recalled many years about an incident that took place on the island of Providenciales.  A young man attacked another young man and his girlfriend all in the name of jealousy.  Unfortunately, the young lady die but the young man was able live to tell the story about the horrible ordeal. These two young men had similar business respectively. The other gentleman became very jealous when he saw a lot of clients were leaving him to go to the next gentleman. He plotted to kill this gentleman so that he can get all the clients. He did not expect the gentleman to survive. The gentleman ended up going to prison and as a result could not continue in the business. Was it worth it? Absolutely not.

How to overcome Jealousy

One of the primary things we need to do is to desist from becoming obsessed with the things other people have.  One way to do is to focus on God and yourself. Know what you what want and set a plan in motion to achieve what you want and not want others have. The key ingredient is to be content with what state you are in.

Do not compare yourself to others. Recognize that each of us is unique. Therefore, do not try to imitate the gifts that others have. You also have gifts. Some of us have gifts that we do not even realize we possess. Search deep within yourself, pray and ask God for direction. You may find that your gifts are within you. They should need to be activated. Once you activate the gifts, you will realize how abundantly blessed you are and therefore no need to be jealous.

Pray always against the spirt of jealousy.

Focus on the word of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God.

We simply need to mind our own business.

Conclusion

There is really no point in being jealous. There is a time and place for everything and there will be a time when your will experience an abundant season. You may go through the valley now but if pursue God and do what is right, you will get an abundance. After all, he said he came that we may have life and have it more abundantly.  Focus on the inherent talents he provided you with.  Be happy for others. Each day, tell the Lord not to allow you to jealous but rather be happy for others.

Think about the impact the spirit of jealousy has on you. It leads to hate, division and possibly murder. Is this what you want? Of course not. Then let us combat this spirit of jealousy. It can be done. I know it can.
